In pursuance to E.N.No.RRC/NR 02/2016(S&G), a written test for 2 Group ‘C’ posts against Scout & Guide Quota was held online on 17.02.2017 for 139 candidates found provisionally eligible for the written examination. Out of 139 candidates only 127 candidates appeared for the said examination. Before issuing list of shortlisted candidates for 2nd stage of examination, it was decided to call for the online objections from the candidates from 23.02.2017 to 26.02.2017 on the answer key proposed to be applied for evaluation process. In response to this following objections received which are as under:

Few Candidates has raised objection that questions in the examination were out of syllabus. As mentioned in the notification No.RRC/NR 02/2016(S&G), 60% marks are allocated for Scout related activity and due weightage has been given in total marks for scouting purpose. Candidates are to be selected and posted in open line hence the question of General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude are given for other Group-C recruitment and being part of this recruitment do not vitiate the purpose and question are not out of syllabus. Marks for written test, Scouting Skill Assessment and marks on certificates etc. already mentioned in the notification for the information of all concerned.
After examination of the objections received, a revised answer key was provided to the evaluating agency for result preparation with following qualifying marks community-wise as under:

Accordingly, candidates can check status here and those who have scored minimum qualifying marks given above are shortlisted provisionally for second stage (i.e. Scouting Skill Assessment) to be held on 17th March 2017 at 9.30 AM at Committee Hall No. 2(Annexe-1), Baroda House, Northern Railway Head Quarter, New Delhi. Candidates so shortlisted has to download the admit card with instructions to be followed strictly in the examination and same will be available shortly on RRC/NR website. It is also advised that result of all candidates who appeared in the written examination in the form of marks scored with ONLINE Responces will be available on website after completion of selection process.
